Artificial Intelligence isn’t going anywhere — and neither are we.
At Alibi Syndicate Press, we believe in embracing the tools that help authors work smarter while still protecting the creative heart of storytelling: human imagination.

We’ll be honest — we don’t always like how AI is trained, or what it’s trained on. But we recognize what it can do for authors, not to them.
Used responsibly, AI is a fantastic idea generator and virtual assistant. It can help writers:
In short, AI can save authors time on the business side so they can spend more of it writing. That’s a win in our book.
Now, about the writing itself.
Under current copyright law, a book that’s more than 25% written by AI cannot be copyrighted. That’s not our opinion — it’s the law as it stands.
So our stance is simple:
Can we enforce this? Not perfectly. AI detectors are notoriously unreliable, and we know that. So we rely on the same thing that makes any partnership work: trust. We expect authors to keep their word, just as we’ll keep ours.
AI can be an incredible idea machine for cover artists, but it shouldn’t replace them.
Our rule of thumb:
We believe collaboration between artist and algorithm can yield stunning results — but the human eye and hand still matter most.
And yes, if you notice that many of our website images are AI-generated, you’re not imagining things. Those are quick visual touches we wouldn’t be hiring out anyway — and AI helps us keep the lights on and the site looking sharp.

There’s nothing quite like a great human narrator bringing a story to life — the pauses, the breath, the subtle choices that make a character real.
That’s why we prefer human narration and will always opt for it when possible.
However, AI narration has earned a seat at the table, particularly when it’s:
In short, AI narration isn’t replacing humans here — it’s extending our reach so more readers (and listeners) can enjoy great stories.
The world of AI is changing faster than a plot twist in a noir novel. What’s true today may be outdated by next season.
So we’ll adapt — carefully, openly, and always with respect for our authors, readers, and the art of storytelling. As this technology evolves, so will our policy, and we’ll keep this page updated so you’ll always know where we stand.
Transparency is part of the Syndicate code.

AI is a tool — not a ghostwriter, not a shortcut, and definitely not a replacement for human creativity.
At Alibi Syndicate Press, we’ll use it where it helps, set limits where it matters, and stay flexible as the story unfolds.
After all, we’re in the business of storytelling — and every great story still starts with a human mind, a blank page, and a little bit of courage.
