Refunds & Cancellations Policy

Last updated: 10/12/2025

At Alibi Syndicate Press, we believe in clarity, fairness, and good communication. Our goal is to make sure you know exactly where your purchase stands, whether you’re backing a project, buying a course, or ordering a book or audiobook.

Because our titles, courses, and products are sold through different platforms, each one has its own refund and cancellation process. Here’s what you need to know.

Kickstarter Campaigns

When you back one of our campaigns on Kickstarter, you’re supporting a creative project in progress — not purchasing a finished product.

Kickstarter handles all pledges and transactions directly, and refunds or cancellations are managed entirely through Kickstarter’s platform.

Please review Kickstarter’s Terms of Use and Refund Policy before pledging.

That said, if something ever goes wrong, we’ll communicate openly and honestly through campaign updates. Our backers are part of the Syndicate, and we’ll always do our best to make things right.

Courses and Educational Products (via ThriveCart)

All courses, workshops, and educational products are sold through ThriveCart, which serves as our sales and fulfillment platform.

Unless otherwise stated on the course checkout page:

  • Digital courses are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.
  • If a course offers a satisfaction guarantee or refund window, it will be clearly stated on that specific course’s sales page.
  • Refund requests must be made directly through ThriveCart or by contacting us within the stated window.

We stand behind our educational offerings — our goal is to help you grow, not trap you in fine print.

If you ever have an issue accessing your course or feel it wasn’t as described, reach out to us through our Contact Page

and we’ll do our best to resolve it quickly.

Books, Audiobooks, and Merchandise (via Fourthwall)

All physical and digital direct sales from alibisyndicatepress.com are processed and fulfilled through Fourthwall, which acts as the merchant of record for those transactions.

That means:

  • Your payment is handled securely through Fourthwall’s systems.
  • Fourthwall’s refund and return policies apply to all direct purchases made through our shop.
  • You can view those policies at Fourthwall’s Help Center

In general:

  • Digital goods (ebooks, audiobooks) are non-refundable once downloaded.
  • Physical products may be eligible for replacement or refund if they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

If you experience a problem with an order, contact Fourthwall support first for the fastest resolution — and feel free to copy us on the email so we can help track the issue.

Events and Services

From time to time, Alibi Syndicate Press may host online or in-person events, workshops, or retreats. Each event will have its own stated refund and cancellation policy, visible at the time of registration.

In most cases:

  • Refunds are available until a specified cutoff date (usually two weeks before the event).
  • After that date, credits or transfers may be offered instead of cash refunds.

We’ll always be upfront about those details before you register.

Preorders and Delays

Preorders and special editions occasionally experience production or shipping delays — it’s part of the creative process.

If a delay occurs, we’ll communicate updates via email or campaign posts and provide revised timelines. Refunds on preorders are generally not available unless the product is officially canceled or cannot be fulfilled.

If Something Goes Wrong

We pride ourselves on being reachable, reasonable, and transparent. If you believe there’s been an error with your purchase, or something simply isn’t right, contact us directly at:

https://alibisyndicatepress.com/contact

Include your order number, purchase platform (Kickstarter, ThriveCart, or Fourthwall), and a short description of the issue. We’ll respond promptly and work to find a fair solution.

Our Promise

We operate with integrity — and we ask the same from our customers, backers, and students.

Refunds and replacements will always follow the rules of the platform where your purchase was made, but behind those policies, there’s a human team committed to doing right by you.

Because in the Syndicate, we believe trust isn’t built by policy — it’s built by action.
