Alibi Syndicate Press Acquires New Thriller from Vincent Zandri

Alibi Syndicate Press is proud to announce the acquisition of Quietly Into the Night, a gripping psychological noir thriller by Vincent Zandri, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author whose work has captivated readers around the world.

Quietly Into the Night follows bestselling writer Norman Kelleher, a man enjoying a hard-won career comeback, until he wakes up on a train bound for Albany with no memory of how he got there and blood on his hands. As the unexplained blackouts grow more frequent and violent, accusations begin to mount. The media calls him unstable. The police want answers. And the woman he trusts most begins to question whether the man she loves is losing his mind—or hiding something far darker.

As Norman struggles to piece together the missing hours of his life, he begins to suspect the terrifying truth: someone may be manipulating him, guiding him through the night and turning him into the perfect scapegoat.

Quietly Into the Night is a dark psychological thriller steeped in noir paranoia, obsession, and the haunting question of how well we can truly know ourselves… or the people closest to us.

Stacey Smekofske and Troy Lambert agree that Vincent’s book sits solidly with Alibi Syndicate’s brand, which is dedicated to publishing bold crime stories. Another reason we took on this project for Vincent is that Vincent had shown a strategic and consistent effort in marketing his books. He has a track record that proves he is willing to put work into building his readership. At Alibi Syndicate, we help authors build their brand and their backlist, not just the book that we take on. We also want to know that when we are working with an author to sell their book and build their audience, they are just as hard at work as we are. Vincent makes a great addition to the syndicate. We are excited that he will be our first author.

“Vincent Zandri has one of the most distinctive voices in modern crime fiction,” said Stacey Smekofske, publisher and co-founder of Alibi Syndicate Press. “His work blends hardboiled storytelling with psychological depth in a way that keeps readers turning pages late into the night. He also has a snark that I just find compatible with our publishing style. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the syndicate.”

Zandri is widely known for his atmospheric thrillers, including The Remains and Moonlight Falls, and his books have sold more than a million copies worldwide while being translated into multiple languages.

Quietly Into the Night is scheduled for publication in June 2026 in print, ebook, and audiobook formats. More details about the release, cover reveal, and pre-order information will be announced soon.
